Ah my old friend Ivans. I’m a scientist. Check it out. While there is a distinct possibility that we are seeing a regression to the mean phenomenon, the fact is that warming in the last century has increased. It is undeniable. Even the climate deniers agree it has increased around one degree centigrade. The IPCC measures around 1.7 degrees. The increase is correlated to CO2 increase, but also other natural phenomenon such as water vapor. These correlations seem conclusive to me but I can understand there is a debate. What IS not debatable is that warming is occurring, polar ice is melting, water temp is increasing, water height will increase and billions of dollars, millions of acres, and thousands of lives will be in danger and we are not doing a flipping thing to mitigate it. If I follow Dick Cheney’s 1 percent rule, this is irresponsible at best and criminal at worst.

Unlike my dear old friend Joe- since the 7th grade in Brooklyn- who is a learned gentlemen, I spent my life in the corporate world and have neither the grace or the patience for your nonsense. Instead of wasting my time with idiotic refutes of the facts which I gave you, please give me some of your facts. I’m not holding my breath.

Sorry, I don’t really talk about polar bears, but future generations are our responsibility with something this serious. If you don’t care about that, don’t expect my grand kids to bail out your grand kids when you were warned now.

By the way it’s 66 tons, average for my area. What’s yours.

Actually it’s 32% better than average. I hadn’t completed the test.

Not the rest of you. Just you. Also, that was reported as 32percent below the average in my area. The end.

I actually don’t believe you. There is no point of any dialogue with you. You believe what you believe and are immovable. No end point possible but arguing.

That’s a ridiculous comparison. Most of the world doesn’t live in a metropolitan area of 3-4 million in the United States. Comparing my footprint with the world average is stupid, and similar for an America which is primarily open land. It’s your carbon footprint that I don’t believe. But of course yours is an estimate of your superior life. I’ll tell you it’s an impossible number unless you don’t own a car, rarely eat, rub sticks together for heat and use candle light.

Joe, as John Lennon said, “we’re all fucking peasants as far as I can see”. Good article.

We should all move to the 1800s. Don’t be ridiculous. I do the best I can in our society. You use the argument of the third world. I still question your carbon footprint. It’s a lost battle anyway. There is little opportunity left to curtail warming and we aren’t even trying. Since you love to cite the Jurassic times, don’t plan on any pets.

Please spare me the stupidity. We don’t live in the African jungle you know. Or do you. Again, no point in continuing this.
